Benefits of cycling

  1. Pictures and videos show the accident, motorcycles, and debris on the right side of the road. The truck with trailer appears to have crossed over to its left being the wrong side of the road.

  2. No where in this did it state who was at fault. Just a word to the wise (assuming you are a safe driver), have a dash cam in your car or on your motorcycle. If you are not at fault, the dash cam will prove it. If you are a wreckless driver, drunk driver or road rager, well, you get what you deserve.

  3. SINCERE thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families.
Take comfort that these guys went out as free souls with the wind in their hair and sun on their faces…….

  4. Apparently these bikers were on their way for a blessing of their motorcycles. Do these blessings last for the life of the motorcycle? I did not think that motorcycles had souls. I didn't even think that those veterans had souls either.

  5. My heartfelt condolences to all the families of the victims. As an avid rider, you can ride as carefully as you can but you never know when the unforeseen will make your next ride your last. R.I.P.

  6. Play through on Vatican 2 Cop killed in Sacramento Kink dot com Copy cat for Hawaii plane crash Meleakahana Cabins illuminati rip off May have to ping cop James Dean. Govt is using parolees for Vatican 2. Dirty cop Hawaii Santiago. Short and fat. Scott E 10520. Ray Sar used to scream at the teacher until she left crying. Never suspended. Kate K, never shut up about her West Point friend. Marseilles France. Pomoronoff.

  7. The evidence shows the pickup driver was driving on the wrong side of the road. The question is why. Could have been distracted or deliberately attempting to kill the riders. Seen many studies that over 50% of drivers have had the intrusive thought of pulling into oncoming traffic. Of course very few actually act on those thoughts.

  8. These were MARINES and millenials are slamming them for choosing a bike to decompress. "They knew the risks!". Well they knew the risks for going to war to protect you from evil. You're all just cowards.

  9. Can't believe all those bikers were in the oncoming traffic lane. Smart money is the driver of the truck if he's still alive has some splaining to do.

  10. I ride. My heart goes out to the survivors and the family's of all the riders in this terrible accident. As to the sad to pick apart the exact unknown. I hope others don't tear your tragic event if you have one… have some genuine respect.

  11. How in the World did this happen ???

My Lord. This truck took out 7 ppl? How ??? This is sooooo freaking sad 😢 😢😢

  12. Associated Press: "Preliminary autopsy result indicate the the presence of crystal meth in the motorcyclists' blood systems."

Thank God the young driver of the truck is OK. He must have been terrified seeing those stoned bikers swerving into his lane. Motorcycle clubs should be banned. They're a danger to us all.

  13. My sincere condolences to all family and friends, and for those of you below with the lame un American comments..keep hiding behind a keyboard Cowards.

  14. Police report says the truck was in the wrong lane going west bound in a east bound lane!! and he didn’t get hurt ! well at least not yet
That inbred moron deserves to die slowly and painfully

  15. It is sad, but the group of bikers probably instigated the crash. Follow the rules of the road and this does not happen!

  16. It is very weird how the pick-up truck that hit the motorcycle group had exactly what was required to get them all in just one move: the large plataform it was towing. It also happened very close to their final destination, the hotel where they were staying. In my opinion this was no accident but a planned hit. It is very easy to hit when the location the target will be can be known ahead of time, like their arrival to their lodging place. I am very suspicious of accidents that happen in this manner. It looks to me that it was an evil and perfectly calculated hit. Sorry if it sounds mean to think this way, but there is evil in this world that we need to be aware of. In this case it camouflaged itself as a normal transiting vehicle and then it hit at the pre-established spot with the pre-selected weapon, the long heavy metal platform that was thrown against the victims with one simple maneuver. Very evil and horrible. This is how terribly wrong the cruelty and hypocrisy of this world has become. May God Almighty protect us and deliver us, may the Lord fight on our behalf against all evil, against all weapon planned to be brought against us, in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ. I have no idea who would benefit from killing these bike riders. However, it does look very suspicious to me and I have a hard time accepting there was no foul play in this terrible tragedy.

  17. I believe people can become easy targets for victimization when they find themselves at a spot where they are expected to be. For example, when you are returning home and your attacker knows where you live. He will just wait for you in a spot close to your home and then start following you when you get to where he is waiting and then attack you before you get home or at your doorstep. It is very sad and scary to realize that not all evil people are behind bars but that many are out there harming innocent victims. We need God's protection since law enforcement has not been able to fully protect us. We need to cover ourselves and our loved ones with prayer and ask God Almighty, in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, to disable and void-out all evil that has been planned to come against us and our loved ones.

  18. There's a lot of sick people commenting on this. Innocent lives were snatched away from no fault of there own and all people can do is joke about it.

  19. Ram 2500 was over payload capacity if load was on trailer. Ram 2500 GVWR is only 10,000lbs. Pin weight of trailer was over this payload capacity of around 2,000lbs.

  20. I hate to say this ….but on a MotorCycle in any accident with speed the cyclist is going to die no matter what ….

  21. the driver of the truck was an illegal imigrent wiyrh deportation orders  not filed by the sanctuary city he lived in so why do we keep letting them in // HOPE ONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES IS NOT WASTED BY ONE OF THOSE ILLEGAK IMMIGRENTS.

  22. Pickett Reintroduces Hit-And-Run Bill

HARRISBURG – Legislation that will help to save the lives of those involved in hit-and-run vehicle crashes has been reintroduced in the new 2013-14 legislative session by Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna), author of the proposal.

The legislation would specifically deal with hit-and-run crashes involving serious injury or death and assess criminal penalties upon the passengers in a fleeing vehicle.

“Under current law, there is no legal requirement for anyone to call for help when a hit-and-run accident occurs, and if that crash is serious, every second is important in making sure any victims get prompt medical attention,” Pickett said. “The present law makes it easier for someone who has caused an accident – either a passenger or a driver – to flee if he or she may be under the influence or afraid of contacting authorities for any reason. If the passengers in that fleeing vehicle are able to call for help, the law should make it clear they must do so.”

House Bill 401 would hold passengers traveling in the vehicle at the time as legally responsible as the driver of that vehicle for reporting the accident to authorities as soon as possible.

Pickett’s legislation is modeled after similar legislation in New York, known as “Steven’s Law.” A former Bradford County resident, age 17, was killed by a hit-and-run driver while cycling in Ashland, N.Y. on March 22, 2007. The body was not discovered until the next day because neither the driver of the vehicle, nor the passengers in the vehicle, reported the accident to police.

“It is the intent of this legislation to hold equally accountable those passengers who, by their presence in the vehicle, are involved in and knowingly witness a hit-and-run accident involving serious injury or death, yet decline to report the accident to authorities,” Pickett said.

Under House Bill 401, penalties for passengers who fail to report a hit-and-run accident would be the same as those imposed against a driver who is guilty of the same offense. If the victim suffers bodily injury, the violation is a third-degree felony, with a minimum prison term of not less than 90 days, and a mandatory minimum fine of $1,000.

If the victim dies, the violation is a third-degree felony, with a minimum prison term of not less than one year, and a mandatory minimum fine of $2,500.

The legislation has been referred to the House Transportation Committee for consideration.
