Tusk Motorcycle Billet Aluminum Foot Peg Installation

This video covers the installation of the
Tusk billet aluminum race foot pegs. The Tusk billet race pegs were designed to
offer riders an aftermarket replacement foot peg that featured a wider platform over the stock
for added control and comfort while riding. These pegs are a great addition to any bike, made from 6061, T-6 aluminum and anodized
for extreme durability. The expanded 2 1/4″ X 3 1/4″ platform allows
you to not only to ride longer with less fatigue but gives you increased traction for any condition. The stainless steel cleats offer increased
traction while reducing wear. So as you can see, there are many gains of
your stock pegs with the addition of these Tusk race foot
pegs. So to install these, the first thing we are going to do is remove
the cotter pin and the washer and then the pin that holds your foot peg
on. We are just going to wiggle the foot peg a
little bit, back that pin out of there. Once that is out, the foot peg should just
come right off. You will find that most bikes use the same
style of mounting, so you have a cotter pin, a washer, your pin
and a spring. So you want to make sure you have all these
parts when you go to install the new foot peg. It is also a good idea to make sure they are
all clean. Now we are ready to begin installation. We are going to put the spring onto the foot
peg and slip it into the mounting bracket. Once we have got that in place, we can go
ahead and slide that pin down into place. Once the pin is into place, we can put the
washer on. After that we will go ahead and slide our
new cotter pin through. Then all that is left to do is just to bend
the cotter pin around the pin. For more information on the Tusk billet aluminum
race foot pegs, call in or visit us online at And thanks for watching.

  1. So, how do you install Tusk foot pegs that I bought from RM ATV MC that don't have cotter pins? Maybe you could do a new video?
